२४ माघ, काठमाडौं । बाँसबारी छाला तथा जुत्ता कारखाना लिमिटेडको १० रोपनी सरकारी जग्गा हिनामिना गरेको आरोपमा पक्राउ परेका अरुणकुमार चौधरीसहित ३ जनालाई प्रहरीले आज बुधबार छाड्ने तयारी गरेको छ । जिल्ला अदालत, काठमाडौंका न्यायाधीश यज्ञप्रसाद आचार्यको इजलासले ‘२५ दिनभित्र नै हिरासतमा राखेर अनुसन्धान गर्नुपर्ने अवस्था नदेखिएको’ भन्दै थप बुझ्नुपर्ने भए दुई दिनभित्र बाँकी काम सम्पन्न गर्नू भन्ने आदेश गरेपछि प्रहरीले तीन जनालाई छाड्न लागेको हो ।

Bachelor of Arts in Social Work is a four year academic program under Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tribhuvan University. Major aim of this program is to produce generalist social workers to fulfill the need of contemporary Nepal as well as the world. In order to achieve this goal, it offers altogether 8 papers including compulsory field work, research work, academic writing and report writing courses in different semesters.  These courses, apart from core courses of social work, also include various required courses from related disciplines, and some optional courses in the third and fourth year including some specialization courses. In addition, there are few compulsory courses such as Nepali, English, Nepal Studies, and Academic Writing.  Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program of Tribhuvan University prepares students for entry-level practice in social work. Social Work is one of the helping professions committed to improving people’s lives. Social workers may assist people in dealing with their relationships, in solving personal and family problems, or in improving the environment in their community. Social workers focus on social problems and the individual difficulties that arise from these social problems. Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) is a four year program of Tribhuvan University. This program is conducted by Institute of science and technology. The program has been upgraded from 3 years course to 4 years course from 2012 in order to make it in line with the international universities practice. The total course is of 2000 marks. Students have to study core courses and scientific communication in first year, core course and applied statistics in second year. In third year, apart from core courses of respective discipline, students have to study research methodology and electives subject. In elective courses, students have to choose any two subjects from respective subject pool. Fourth year consists of core courses, project work/ field work, computational courses and interdisciplinary courses. Fourth year is research oriented for providing knowledge, ideas and acquaintance to the students in the field of research. The core course is divided into theory and practical which is of 100 and 50 marks respectively.
